Checkin' In
Say hey good people! We had a great time at Pete's Saloon the other nite. It was good to see old friends and make some new ones too. Gene Carpenter played a few tunes w/the band and demo'd the great tone he is known for - he's also developing a very unique chromatic style that the crowd seemed to dig. Sonny Jr. blew up a storm w/the boys and then did a remarkable solo tribute to his mentor and friend, Sonny Terry - you had to be there to believe it - it was quite amazing indeed!

We've got a Turning Point gig coming up on Feb. 24th and will be joined by keyboardist Ed Train. Ed really rounds out the sound for us and adds some color to the music; I hope you can join us!

The snow is on the ground (and thankfully not in the air!) - we got pounded pretty good out here in the NY/NJ area but I think I hear pitchers and catchers grunting and pounding the mitts - give me some baseball soon please.

Thanks for your support - we hope to see you soon!

Peace,

CC
