Winter is upon us....
The loss of a special friend is always tough...this one hurts more than words can tell. I thank all of my "Straight Up" friends for their prayers and kind thoughts for John Doherty. Also, rarely do we have a chance to feel the love and that was certainly generated at "The Hearty Party" - John felt it and appreciated it to the max. After a tough and long battle, the blood diseases and related complications took his body. They could never take his great spirit, good humor, iron will and intellect. I will never forget him and will never say goodbye...just "I'll catch up to you in a bit, Bro"

Little Walter, the king of the boss Blues harmonica wrote a tune for his best friend called "Last Night"...it's also for my best friend and Bro, John D.

Please come out to the Turning Point on Friday, Nov. 25th for a nite of Thanksgiving Blues!
