Carlos Colina & Straight Up are very blessed to have the support of some very close friends and colleagues:

PAUL DELAY - Talents of Paul's magnitude only grace us very, very occasionally. A superb and unique harp player, he was a top caliber performer and Carlos' friend/mentor for many years. While we lost Paul to cancer on 3/7/2007, he leaves behind and incredible legacy to future blues harp players.

ROXY PERRY is a very good friend and wonderful performer...she always has some great musicians playing with her so it would be well worth your while to check her out. Great to have the 'NY Blues Queen' back on the scene!

SONNY JR. is one of the best harp players you'll ever hear...he can swing, play hardcore Chicago style, do that country Blues thing ala Sonny Terry and more...now combine that kind of artistic know-how with years of experience and his expertise of messing with and making harp amps, and voila, you got the best harp amp out there...he's made amps for many a great player...now get him to make one for you!

Paul Undersinger  is a multi-talented artist who performs with various musicians in the area and was CCSU's man behind the kit for a number of years.  Additionally he works as a graphic designer and photographer. He created all artwork and photographs for the latest cd from Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater on Magna Carta Records. Other artwork and photography clients include: The Kinks, Dave Davies, John Patrucci, rd3, Regis Philbin, Jackie Mason, Sally Struthers and others.

We go way back with our 'brethren in the blues', Johnny Feds & Da Bluez Boyz; back to Isabel's Cafe in Tarrytown and the Blue Frog in the Bronx! The lads put on a great show; highly recommended. Plus Feds and Da Boyz run one of the top jams in the New York area every Monday night at The Bayou in Mt. Vernon. Check them out when you get the opportunity!

LARRY ‘GUITAR’ GRAHAM:  A founding member and original bassist of the Carlos Colina & the Straight Up Blues Band, a debt of gratitude is owed to Larry for his influence and guidance, as he helped lay the foundation of the group.  A veritable blues master!

If you have a need for a website or web design services, please contact BOB UNGER.  In addition to his skillful web design services, Bob is a professional photographer and part-time musician.  You'll not only get the technical "know-how" of getting a website up and running, but the aesthetic look and feel that an artist can lend to your project or business.  He is real easy to work with and his rates are quite reasonable...visit his website for more info!

BLUEDAWG PHOTO: Pat Auriemma is a longtime friend of the band and an even longer time friend of the Blues. He also happens to be an an award winning photographer. Check out his work at www.bluedawgphoto.com

STUDIO MOZART: A wonderful gem tucked away on the backstreets of Clifton, near the Paterson border, Studio Mozart is a veritable audio oasis. The package may appear small but is chock-a-block with amenities and resources.

Sadly, we lost engineer Lenny Post not so very long ago. A veritable institution in Rockland County, Lenny did  a number of the original recordings for CCSU. Check out his studio:

Lenny Post's Hickory Street Studios, Blauvelt, New York

WFDU 89.1FM: Carlos Colina & Straight Up are longtime supporters of 'FDU as the station supports the blues like no other station in the greater New York / New Jersey metro area. Nowhere on the FM dial will you find as much blues music programming as you do on WFDU. No wonder we refer to it as our 'Beacon of the Blues'.

JT30.COM: Longtime friend and original webmaster who developed these pages for CCSU,  Keith Graham has had what probably constitutes the most comprehensive online blues harp compendium on the Internet. Check it out!

Carlos Colina & Straight Up are members in good standing of the following organizations:
